Arx Fatalis Hits Stores! - Darkwarrior - 7:08:50 PM EST
Stefan Schneider has just sent word that the first copies of Arx Fatalis have arrived in Austria! All rejoice and be happy! (er...if you live in Germany or Austria at least)

I don't know if they're in Germany yet, but chances are they will be very soon, if they're not already.

On another note, I'll be gone for five days visiting my grandparents in New York, so there won't be any remake news till then.

Ultima Remake Report - Darkwarrior - 8:47:27 PM EST
Hello. I'm Darkwarrior, and I'll be handling Stygian Abyss's Ultima remakes news and general Arx/Ultima-related news once in a while. Bear with me as this is my first post. :)

I've compiled a report about all the current Ultima remake projects for your reading pleasure. A few have already been finished, and this should help give you an idea of what they're like and how far they've advanced.

You can take a look here.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Seven More Arx Screenshots - Dan - 7:31:21 AM EST
The official Arx site's screenshot archive has been updated with four more shots, each as impressive as the previous ones.

But more importantly, look at the news below, and grab that german demo, even if you don't speak the language. :)

UPDATE: I saw on Blues News that the above screenshots as well as three others (two of them are very noteworthy) are all up at RPGDot.

German Arx Demo Now Out! - Dave - 3:18:51 PM EST
That's right!
Following the recent news that the german version of Arx Fatalis had gone gold it was announced today that the german version of the demo has been released!.
Apparently this version is not bugged to hell, like the english version in March.
You can grab the demo (160mb) here!

Stunning Arx Screenshots - Dan - 10:08:52 PM EST
The official Arx Fatalis website has just released a collection of new screenshots. These new shots really are quite stunning, in fact, and it would be well worth it for you to look at every single one. I think some of these are the best I've seen yet - and better, they are of areas we have not yet seen before. All of those settings are so rich in detail it simply astounds. Ahem, off with you... look at them now, and become a believer.

Arx Fatalis Gone Gold! (German version) - Elenkis - 4:28:29 PM EST
Woohoo! Raf posted the following great news in the forum:
Hello TTLGers,
Arx German has gone gold today, and the CDs are now in duplication.
It is a great day for us, and we're looking forward to holding the first box in our hands.
This version is german only and will be out by the end of the month in Germany only. It is also reduced in violent content compare to the international version which will follow shortly.
Also, the final version of the french, english and german demos will be released soon.
May the Noden guide you.
Congratulations guys, nice work :) Can't wait for the international release!

Arx Fatalis Release Update - Dan - 9:34:56 AM EST
julien@arkane on our forums writes:
The game will be released by the end of June in Germany.
Worldwide release in Mid-September 2002.

... the june release will be a german ONLY version (speeches and texts). I don't think we will release a patch to enable international version with the german version...

It was also hinted that we'd get to see an updated version of the demo - showing how far along the game has come, in September as well. Thanks for letting us know, Julian!
